The ultimate television experience as FullHD TV has long since arrived in the caravan, but there are devices that have perfected mobile television to a pleasure event: So-called wide-angle screens now also allow extreme viewing positions from the side or from below. A viewing angle of almost 180°, both horizontal and vertical, makes the difference here!


Thus the picture remains equally bright and with unaltered colour intensity, even if you lie down in the corner seat or enjoy a sporting event together with fans and friends in a large group in the awning - in other words, you have a viewing angle extremely low to the screen or extremely far outside.
Top-of-the-range devices are characterised by a viewing angle of 178°, vertical (V) and horizontal (H), coupled with a brightness value of 300cd/m². If the contrast is still so good - but the image is too dark, you still won't see anything. Therefore another reason to buy is the brightness.
For the display contrast, the higher the better. Cheap monitors should therefore not fall below a standard of 700:1. With Alphatronics with its LED displays, a benchmark of 1000:1 (difference in brightness between a white and a black pixel) is set.

Especially televisions for vehicles are subject to very special requirements and are not comparable with those of the living room at home: The special supply voltage of 12 V, the compensation of the voltage fluctuations occurring in the motorhome and the requirement for the television set to work reliably at different temperatures are only some of the requirements to be considered. Last but not least, compact dimensions and low weight are always important!

You can be self-sufficient as well as take advantage of the possibilities of your campsite, which increasingly offers antenna sockets - in addition to the obligatory power and water connections - as a matter of course.

With smart TV, camping televisions are now also open to signals and applications that until recently could only be found on computers: The Internet is now also at home on the TV, in addition to the usual TV channels.
With fast Bluetooth interfaces, streaming services can be operated as well as audio signals from the television can be routed to surround systems.
