Rectangular cutting of your choice, rounded edges
The most common method of improving the accessibility of a motorhome roof or even that of your caravan is to stick on aluminium chequer plate. It should be about four millimeters thick to distribute the weight of the person well.
Stainless steel is much heavier, reduces the possible payload and raises the centre of gravity of the mobile unnecessarily. The suitably sawn out and deburred plate is glued to the roof using Sikaflex. The adhesive should be applied with a fine toothed trowel over the entire surface and after gluing it should be flashed off for at least 24 hours.
ATTENTION: Bonding requires certain basic knowledge and careful preparation of the joining surfaces. To be on the safe side, you should consult your dealer or ask for our technical assistance before such a measure is taken.
