The terms gas regulator, gas pressure regulator and pressure reducer basically mean the same thing in terms of function. The most important selection criterion for the many different gas pressure regulators is the outlet pressure - indicated in the pressure unit mbar.
Rule of thumb for pressure regulators in D, A, CH:
Camping pressure regulators with 50 mb are for connecting outdoor grills and cookers. Pressure regulators 30 mb can be found in the gas boxes of all modern vehicles such as motorhomes or caravans.

Gas pressure regulator from GOK
If you own a camper van, you will often come across gas pressure regulators from GOK. In Germany, GOK is one of the leading manufacturers of pressure reducers and gas pressure regulators for caravans and motorhomes.
In addition, of course, we also carry Truma and several other manufacturers with their extensive pressure reducer range. The most convenient solution in the caravan is the installation of a 2-bottle Caramatic system.
With this gas pressure regulator, there is an automatic changeover from the empty service cylinder to the full reserve cylinder, and then the empty level is also indicated on the cylinder without interrupting the gas supply.
Pressure regulator for campers
A 1-cylinder system is sufficient for mini campers and small camping buses.
In the case of pressure regulators with a pressure gauge, the pressure gauge helps to check the tightness of the system. If the pressure on the pressure gauge drops quickly after the gas bottle is turned off, this indicates leaks in the gas system.
A camping vehicle gas pressure regulator is not only a regulator for the even line pressure to the consumers in and on the vehicle such as gas barbecue, gas heater, refrigerator or gas cooker with hotplates, but can also have many extras.
For example, these complex vehicle gas pressure regulators are equipped with a crash sensor (CS), which ensures that the gas flow is switched off in the event of an accident.
There are also so-called dual versions, where the pressure regulator automatically switches to the full gas cylinder when the other one is empty.
